The Beauty of Green Wall

Imagine that  you have a great house like this…

What a great house, don’t you think so?.

Green, beauty, cool and mild air around the house, and healthy I guess, both for human and for nature. This is an example of Green Wall. What is Green wall?…

A green wall is a wall, either free-standing or part of a building, that is partially or completely covered with vegetation and, in some cases, soil or an inorganic growing medium. The vegetation for a green façade is always attached on outside walls; with living walls this is also usually the case, although some living walls can also be green walls for interior use.  For living walls there are many methods including attaching to the air return of the building to help with air filtration. They are also referred to as living walls, biowalls, or vertical gardens. [wikipedia]

As we know, global warming is existed threat nowadays, that need people all the world awareness to combat them. We can’t ask only one organization, or one country to solve this problem, because this is global thread, which affect all over the world. Look on how temperature changes since 1880. We should feel our home getting hotter…

Isabel Dedring, Adviser to the President Mayor of London Boris Johnson and the environment, said: ”People struggle really to see how old Victorian city built like London can be really the city of low-carbon, which if you look at the goals, it should be.

”There are a lot of things that can be done collectively offset those increases, and we have to start now.”

As a picture, should be planted extra million trees in London to combat the high temperatures over the coming decades, a plan the mayor the environment and increase the number of suggested. However trees by 2025, as well as creating more green areas and roofs, can help to thwart these expectations, the report added.

So, Green Wall can be a solution to help reduce global warming and save our earth.

Green Wall has many benefits, some of them are:

• Provides sound insulation.
• Filters air particulates to improve air quality.
• Reduces the Heat Island Effect.
• Moderates a building’s internal temperature via external shading.
• Creates a microclimate, which will help to alter the climate of a city as a whole.
• Helps a building retain heat otherwise lost to convection.
• Provides storm water management, absorbing 45-75% of rainfall.
• Serves as a natural water filter and water temperature moderator.
• Provides biodiversity and a natural animal habitat.

Below, you can see how Green Wall can be blended well with feel and look of the building. The wall covered with green life, if arrange well can be interesting too…
