Meat becomes the main ingredient. Korean people process various kinds of meat from chicken, beef, fish, until the pork as a meal. In fact, dog meat is often cooked during the summer to increase endurance and improve sexual function.
Different ways to cook with a taste that certainly has its own character. Mostly mixed with boiled or baked and prepared as a soup. It looks tempting and seductive, just look at Korean traditional foods made from meat below:
1. Makchang gui
This Korean dish made from pig or cow bowel which is grilled over coals. Eaten with Doenjang sauce and chopped scallions, Makchang gui has a high calcium content. Koreans usually eat it with alcohol.
2. Dak Galbi
Dak Galbi is one of several popular food in South Korea. These foods are made from dice-shaped pieces of chicken marinated in chili paste. Cooking in pan-fried with a mixture of cabbage, sweet potatoes, leeks, onions, and rice cakes.
Dak Galbi appeared in the first time at 1960 and much eaten in small shops in the suburbs. In 1970, the food was popular among students because the price is cheap.
3. Galbi
Its main ingredient is marinated beef seasoned soy sauce, garlic, and sugar, but there is also a mix of sesame oil, wine, and chili paste. When cooked, the meat will be sliced thin for quick cooking and easy to eat with chopsticks.
Galbi usually cooked over a dining table and juxtaposed with lettuce, perilla, or other leafy vegetables. To eat, the meat will be wrapped in vegetables, and then dipped in the sauce of fermented Ssamjang beans and red pepper paste.
4. Samgyeopsal
Samgyeopsal popular food in Korea is usually served at dinner. Thick slices of raw materials of fatty pork. Not marinated or spiced meat, but baked directly on the table and eaten immediately.
Samgyeopsal including high-priced menu and according to a survey, about 85% of adults in Korea loved Samgyeopsal. Of these, approximately 70% enjoy this menu once a week.
5. Bulgogi
The main raw material is the BBQ beef cattle, chickens, or marinated pigs. Marinate process necessary for condiments such as soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, pepper, green onions and other spices soak into the meat.
Generally, Bulgogi is believed to have existed since the year 37 BC, cooked by baking. But there are also fried with garlic, onions, and peppers.
6. Hoe
A food dish made from sliced raw fish or other marine animals, similar to sashimi. Wrapped in lettuce or perilla, Hoe enjoyed with dips spicy gochujang sauce and wasabi.
7. Sannakji
Small octopus which is alive is cut into small pieces and eaten, and even some who eat it whole. Sannakji only sesame seed seasoning and sesame oil.
Because it is still alive and people will often feel a choking and writhing in tenggorokkannya. So, tips for eating is to chew Sannakji'll cut into pieces, then the new swallow.
